Inoculating the alder
Bolts cut from our own alder in February, drilled, plugged with shiitake spawn and waxed. They go in the shade stack now. We find out whether any of it worked in about eight months.

The apiary goes in
Stands levelled, hives sited for morning sun and shelter from the west wind. No honey expected this year. Getting them through one winter would be a result.
